Spitting Llamas not one of the top-four sites on Internet

In what was downright amazing news today, CNN reported thatfour sites account for half of Web surfing in the US. We here at Spitting Llamas, in true Gore tradition, demand a recount. Even though our content usually sucks and we have very little to offer the average surfer, we demand to be given our rightful place in the upper echelon…

Ok, that ceased to be funny, but I think it’s a little deceiving that AOL is number one. I assume they are counting the time people spend surfing AOL, which is distinctly not the Internet. Surely, people aren’t actually spending time at the AOL website, but instead these are just folks who still think “You’ve got mail!” is cute.

This again is more of that screwy research that seems to say a lot but in reality means nothing. Just like that story on how smoking kills people. Don’t they know that gun-toting 12 year-olds kill people?

Flame and Whore

Well, I got the forums installed. You can go ahead and register and enlighten us. Expect the look of the forum to be changing drastically in the next few days. I haven’t done any customization yet.

Bookworm List Heaven

Random House has released it’s list of the100 best novels since 1900. I have to say that I agree whole-heartedly with their number 1 pick, Ulysses by James Joyce. I am also proud to say that I have read all of the first 10 and a large portion of the whole list. Let the stoning begin! though fiction is one of the things that make us human, I should mention that they also have a list for the 100 best nonfiction books as well.

This brings me to another point. If anyone of our 6 readers would like to start some sort of book/discussion club, please email me. If you’d rather just hit me with a large leather-bound hardback or cause me to pound my head against walls, please click here.

In related news, my Amazon wish list is now packed to the brim with things for anyone to buy me. I swear, if I had 25% of the things in that wishlist, I wouldn’t leave the house for months just to get it all read, listened to, or watched. In my humble opinion, Amazon is the best e-commerce website ever.

A little Nuke here, a little Nuke there

Well, I guess Art Bell may be considered a wacko, or at least an enabler of wackos, but one thing he did get right was the plan to nuke the moon. I have often wondered if Art Bell was really one the greatest con jobs of all-time. Is his show not laughing at our conspiratorial society simply by foisting it into the minds, and ears, of many Americans.

I doubt that old Art would be quite as conniving or brilliant enough to be turning a con on all of America. In short, it’s certainly no Orson Wellesian War of the Worlds. I can’t remember but did War of the Worlds include a nuclear attack on the Hamptons?

At any rate, it feels good to be posting again, please email Jetteva and tell him how much you like the design, that is, if you like it.
