The Oxford English Dictionary has added Homer Simpson’s trademark “doh!” to its online edition. The book defines Homer’s utterance as “expressing frustration at the realization that things have turned out badly or not as planned or that one has just said or done something foolish. Also implying that another person has said or done something foolish.” Who knew they could turn something so funny into something so priggish?
