Well, we long knew that the Mercator representation of the world was a little off, so here’s a new map that seems to fit a little better with the current situation.

It pains me to see that Ohio can’t even be part of Canada … damn selective morality …

Wow! Whoever made that map is as ignorant as the religious right and the Taliban. America is a secular country with a lot of Christians and a lot of ignorant Christians. Not all Christians agree with the republican party and no Christian votes republican because God told them too. God is not a republican or a demacrat. God is above political ideals. It is aweful that whoever made that map sees the U.S. in that light. Sadly a lot of the Muslem world sees the U.S. that way also. I understand the map is a form of expression and this comment is just a form of my expression. If you think of Christians as ignorant, close minded fools that is a prejudice and I hope for most of us it is wrong. The election showed that America has some very polarized ideas but as John Kerry said we are all still Americans and we need to work together. If any one thinks Canada is better, go ahead and move there. By the way their economy is no better than our and if you think the taxes in the U.S. are high, you’re in for a big surprise. The election is over, Bush won, now lets move on and dialog about something that matters.

But at least Canada is truly a land of freedom, whether you’re gay or not.

Oh yeah, and Everyone is entitled to healthcare, whether you’re rich or not.

anyone can get health care in the US, there are plenty of clinics for low income families, etc. I’d rather have a surgen who feels like he’s getting the money he deserves operating on me than one who’s getting paid by the government.

Everyone would rather have a surgeon who feels like he’s getting the money he deserves do the operating. Of course, that’s only true if the surgeon is, in fact, doing it for the the money.

However, as you mentioned, some poor folks have to go to clinics, and some doctors actually work at those clinics because they want to help people. Also, despite the existence of these clinics, not “anyone” can get the healthcare they need. Poor old people traditionally get something like $600 per year for prescriptions. That might cover one prescription. Maybe. So, they have to choose. High blood pressure meds or heart medicine. That’s just one example.

I am fairly certain that they won’t find evidence of fraud concerning the election. It has either been destroyed, is untraceable, or does not exist. I am leaning toward the latter two. Why does Dubya make people feel more safer(Bushism)than Kerry? I do not understand and I can’t imagine that people would vote for a candidate with aspirations for world domination. I am American, and am proud to live in this country. However, I am embarrased at how Americans have treated the rest of the world. Like a grade school bully, we have stolen lunch money from the World. I say we, but I have yet to benefit from the fruits of that wealth. I am glad that economy of India has grown leaps and bounds because of American Companies outsourcing. Hooray for them, ya know, but those jobs have not been replaced. Something had bothered quite a bit since I first saw it. The show called “Amazing Race”-people are left somewhere in the world and have to get to America. The way that the contestants treat people, regardless of nationality, is appaling. That behavior does not represent me or anybody I know. The truth is- that is how the world has seen us. That is a depiction of Americans that is expected when we are traveling abroad. The language barrier is only one of many problems we face in changing the world view of America. I do not think that United Nations has been fair with regards to the United States, but they have every right to impose, on the US, the same sanctions that were imposed on Iraq after the first Gulf War. With that in mind, how will the government react when we are “commanded” to lose our weapons of mass destruction and stop production of nuclear “or nucular” material. In the face of UN inspectors, how will US officials react? This may be a time where we will wish we had a more humble man in the white house. A man who is willing to accept responsibilty for his actions and admit when he is wrong. It has been foretold, in each of the last 20 centuries, that a saviour would be coming, and horsemen of the apocolypse were on the horizon. World calamity could have been prevented-and we as humans may have just made the one decision that may allow it to happen in this century. I really don’t want the world to end, but my state’s electoral college, and my nations majority populus may have made the decision for me.

Why can’t liberals admit the Republicans just ran a better campaign and were able to mobilize more voters? Leave it to losers to blame their loss on the ball.

Just remember, Bush ran for president because, and he said this clearly, that God told him to. I don’t like it when a president admits to hearing voices. If God told him to run for president, you think our ecomony would be one based on compasion (sorry, only rich bastards get tax breaks), we’d be edumakating our children (sorry, not going to fund no child left behind), would have found peaceful ways to bring about change (sorry, 8 more soldiers died in a car bomb attack today), and the President wouldn’t lie, especially after telling us he was entitled by God to be president.

Sadly, the entire country was bamboozled and fandangled by the brains behind Bush. The right was tricked into actually believing Bush is a man of moral value and the left was tricked into thinking the election might actually be free from fraud.
