Ecto is a small software app to easily update blogs. Are there others that are powerful and easy to use?

BlogJet, Post2Blog, w.bloggar, Qumana, TheWebStory, or the Firefox plugin from Performancing.com.
I’ve tried all of them at some point. Post2Blog is promising. w.bloggar is solid, but the Performancing.com plugin is what I use.

Performancing.com’s Firefox plugin is downright stellar. Just what I was looking for.
I have one beef. It would be great if you could open the plugin tool in it’s own tab, as an option. As it is right now, it opens to the bottom of any tab. Any new tab you open carries over the plugin window.

Performancing.com’s plugin does have a full-screen option. Just right-click on the icon and one of the options is “open in tab.” It produces a tab with only that screen/tool.

Cool, I’m going to try the firefox plugin, just to see how it works.
I have been using Qumana beta and really like it.
